Lots of people search the Internet for the best way or best method to get their ex back. The problem is that there isn't a best way. This is because every person and break up is different. Some methods and techniques will work for some relationships while they won't work for others. The normal case after a break up is one person avoiding their ex while the other person chases them. Normally it's the person who was dumped doing the chasing although sometimes people dump their partners only to realize it was a mistake.
If you're being chased by your ex you're obviously in a stronger position than someone doing the chasing. A bad piece of advise plaguing the Internet is that you should ignore your ex for a while if they're chasing you. This is terrible advise, the moment you can get your ex back you should do before they meet someone else.
If you're chasing your ex then first you need to take time out away from them. You never know, during this time they may come back to you and save you the hassle of chasing them. If you keep trying to make contact with them too soon after the break up it will do more harm than good. Your ex will just get sick of your pestering and will only distance themselves from you.
The time spent away from each other is the perfect opportunity for both of you to decide if life is better together or apart. After spending a few weeks away from your ex you may decide you don't actually want them back. If at the end of the time apart you still love your ex then by all means, start making attempts to get them back. I wish I could tell you the best way to contact them but there really isn't a best or easiest way. What I will say is that a face to face meeting is always better than a text message because it's more sincere.
